JOSH CELLARS IN THE COMMUNITY Since the beginning, we’ve supported charitable partners that Josh would have been proud of

No matter where you are in America, chances are there’s a Josh nearby. Inspired by the legacy of our founder Joseph Carr’s father, Josh Carr, we wondered how much good we could do if we rallied Joshes everywhere together—in the name of giving back. This #Joshgiving, Joseph Carr is making a large donation to American Humane’s Pups4Patriots™ in his father’s name. As the proud son of a veteran, and the proud owner of a beautiful rescue dog (Molly), Joseph knew Pups4Patriots™ was a wonderfully deserving cause to receive one of our largest donations yet. The American Humane’s Pups4Patriots™ program finds dogs in search of forever homes and trains them to be lifesaving service dogs for veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injury. National Volunteer Fire Council

Joseph Carr’s dad, Josh, was a volunteer firefighter, so supporting the men and women who selflessly protect their communities has always been close to our hearts. We are proud to release the 4th edition of our Josh Cellars Reserve Lodi Cabernet Sauvignon. For every bottle sold, we will donate $1 to the National Volunteer Fire Council or other local firefighter charities in select markets throughout the country. The National Volunteer Fire Council provides direct assistance to volunteer fire departments and dedicated responders across the country. Their programs address a wide range of issues, including health and safety, recruitment and retention, fire department capacity, and fire prevention.

Founded by chef José Andrés in 2010, World Central Kitchen’s mission is to use the power of food to nourish communities and strengthen economies in times of crisis and beyond. They bring hope around the world through nourishing food and hot meals for people who need it most.

Operation Gratitude

Supporting the military has always been important to Josh Cellars, as our namesake, Josh Carr, served in the U.S. Army. Operation Gratitude is an organization that helps to forge personal connections between the American public and active duty service members, veterans, and first responders. Learn how you can make a paracord survival bracelet, send a personal letter of appreciation, or build a care package with handmade items like greeting cards, scarves, hats, and cool ties.

Restaurant Workers Community Foundation

The restaurant industry is where Joseph Carr got his start.  This foundation supports restaurant workers across the country by addressing quality of life issues that disproportionately affect them, like wage fairness, career ladders, gender equity and sexual violence, racial justice, mental health, substance abuse, and support for the immigrant community.

California Fire Foundation

California wines inspired Joseph Carr to create his own brands and today, most of our wines are produced in California: it is truly the brand’s home. We are proud to support the California Fire Foundation, an organization working tirelessly to provide emotional and financial assistance to families of firefighters and the communities they protect. Joseph Carr’s grandfather and his father, Josh, were volunteer firefighters in Berlin, NY, so this is a cause that is close to our hearts.
