Asparagus and Goat Cheese Tart
Ingredients
- 1 piece frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 8 oz. goat cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons cream
- ¼ lb. sliced prosciutto
- ¼ lb. asparagus spears, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt
- Your favorite fresh herbs or microgreens, chopped, for garnish
Directions
- Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Stir together the goat cheese and cream until fully combined.
- On a floured surface, roll out the sheet of puff pastry to approximately 11” x 13” and transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Using the back of a butter knife, score a 1/2” border on all four sides of the pastry but be careful not to cut all the way through. This will cause the edges to raise slightly when baking and create a nice border.
- Spread the goat cheese mixture onto the pastry, add the sliced prosciutto and asparagus spears.
- Brush with the olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the edges of the pastry are a light golden brown. Top with herbs or microgreens and serve warm.
